What does Denise Louie Education Center Do?
DLEC operates several locations around the Seattle area. The Early Head Start Program Office is located at the south end of Beacon Hill and offers weekly educational home visits and monthly socialization groups to pregnant women and families with children 0 to 3 years old living in Seattle and Seatac.
The ParentChild+ Program located in Lake City which provides bi-weekly home visits to build school readiness at home for families with 16 to 30 months that lives in the North Seattle area.
There are three Head Start education centers located at Beacon Hill, the International District, and in the Seward Park area that provide Preschool Services to children between 3 to 5 years old. DLEC also has 3 weekly Play and Learn groups throughout the Seattle area.
DLEC also offers families in-home visits as well as connection with the various services that are available for them in the community.
Volunteering is Essential
This has been the culmination of my goal from earlier this year to begin giving back to the community with my passion for seeing individuals and organizations thrive through increased productivity and organization.
